It is with great delight Pontypridd Football Club can confirm international clearance has been granted for Fifolu Akinyemi and Chris Salter to join up with the senior squad for the 2018/19 season. Both players had already signed with the club, but this final piece of red tape provides a boost to the playing squad ahead of the first league campaign in the Taff Ely Rhymney Valley League.
Fifolu and Chris are both students at the University of South Wales and were involved last season with the players and coaching staff as part of Pontypridd Town Development Section.
Fifolu – born in Lagos, Nigeria before moving to London during his teens – is a versatile player who can operate in defence and midfield. Chris primarily plays at centre back.
