Pontypridd FC have been drawn a home tie in the first round of the South Wales FA Intermediate Cup. We will host Llanrumney Colts at the Maritime Recreation Field on Saturday 8th September 2018.
The SWFA Intermediate Cup (previously known as the SWFA Amateur Cup) has been played since 1891 and has been won by some of the most famous clubs in Welsh football, including a number of current Welsh Football League Clubs. The competition was last contested in the 2016/17 season and was won by Penydarren Boys and Girls Club. Traditionally, the competition was for clubs playing in local leagues but has recently been opened to clubs playing in the South Wales Alliance League.
Our first round opponents, Llanrumney Colts, play in the Cardiff & District League. Last season they played in Division Two, winning the league title with 16 wins from their 18 matches and 98 goals scored.
