Last month some of our under 13s squad participated in a sponsored walk to the summit of Pen-Y-Fan, accompanied by parents, several members of the senior side, Under 13s coaching team and club committee. We are now proud to announce the youngsters have raised enough cash to help pay for their home kit for the 2018/19 season.
The players that took part in the Pen-Y-Fan walk were Kaden Harris, Mani Owen, Ruben Owen, Corey Foggarty, Oliver Bailyes, Matthew Williams, Evan Siewczyk and Jack Jones. Pontypridd FC chairman Nigel Wheeler said this about their fundraising:
“Great effort from the boys who undertook the walk. It was a really big effort and shows a real team spirit. A special thanks to the parents, coaches, senior players and committee members who also went and supported the boys”.
Congratulations to the boys; everyone at Pontypridd Football Club is proud of their effort.
The under 13s will wear their new kit for the first time next week when they play their first ever match, a friendly against Rhydyfelin AFC. The match will take place at the Maritime Recreation Field next Wednesday (29th August), kick off is 6.30pm.
