On Wednesday Pontypridd FC Under 13s played their first ever match, a friendly against Rhydyfelin at the Maritime. Despite a positive performance, especially in the second half, according to the coaches, the young lads fell to a 4-1 defeat.
The result was very much secondary though, this was all about the under 13s enjoying their night representing our football club. On the night Matthew Williams captained the side in the absence of Mani Owen. Sam Griffiths (assisted by Evan Siewczyk) scored the under 13s goal. Congratulations to these players and well done to all who represented Pontypridd FC with pride.
The under 13s begin their league campaign on Saturday morning, away to Pontyclun Yellows. We wish them the best of luck!
