Last week we caught up with October’s first team player of the month Kieron Cook for a look at some of his career highlights and his take on the club since joining in the summer.
How are you settling in at the club?
I’m settling into the club really well, I’m enjoying my football again. The players and management team have been great and it’s a joy to train and play with them.
How do you feel the season is going so far?
We had a reasonably good start to the season. Unfortunately we have taken our foot off the gas of late, but I think we can turn it around. Some people say you have to have some element of luck in football but I’m a strong believer in creating your own luck. To do that we need 110% from everyone.
You were player of the month last month – how did it feel to have that recognition?
It was a great feeling to be recognised. To have the award after only being at the club a few weeks was a shock. But I couldn’t have won it without the support on and off the field. Hopefully I can win a few more.
