There was another impressive performance and win for the under 14s last weekend, defeating BTM United Ravens 3-1 in the league cup at Ynysangharad Park. Making the most again of an excellent surface, the boys produced a composed performance full of intensity and vision. The team were even able to overcome going behind early on before goals from Evan Sienczyk, Ellis Huish and Owain Capper powered them to victory.
The coaches were very pleased with the performance, how well the players maintained the good standards they have set in their home games so far this season. To have won back to back games shows how much the players are developing and the mental maturity after a poor showing a couple of weeks ago was noted.
Player of the match was Jack Jones. He played with intelligence and composure at left back and his work-rate was second to none. Ruben Owen’s development continues following his ‘most improved player’ award last season, while Bili Pitman is growing every week since joining the team in the summer. There was also a special mention from the coaches for Rohan Grewal who has displayed fantastic team spirit and application by adapting to different roles every week.
