Pontypridd FC under 14s boys won for the second time in a row, another impressive clean-sheet to cap a very good looking 3-o win at Bargoed YMCA. There was no complacency following the win over Pontyclun last time out, goals from Harley Williams, Mani Owen and Ruben Owen giving the young guns their fifth win of the season, further extending this best-ever season in term of results.
Against a team that had the physical edge, the Pontypridd side defended resolutely in the first-half and led at the break thanks to a Harley Williams goal. Captain Mani Owen scored the second goal from a Jordan Lethbridge corner before his twin brother Ruben completed the win with a close range goal.
Man of the Match Mani Owen once again produced a true captain’s display and his level of performance this season continues to go higher. However, it was very much a team effort with all members of the squad contributing to another well-deserved victory.
