Our under 14s boys team secured a third consecutive win this weekend, beating Rhydyfelin 3-2 away at the Dog Track. It is the first time this group of players have won three matches on the bounce and their six wins in all competitions this season extends their record in this best-ever campaign.
As a group the players are really starting to come of age this season, as well as the addition this season of some extra quality in the squad. Goals from Mani Owen, Ruben Owen and Jordan Lethbridge gave the Ponty young guns the victory in a scrappy game. Although the team performance wasn’t quite at the same level as the last two wins, the boys showed great resilience and togetherness to grind out a win.
Man of the match was Ruben Owen who is really excelling in his role as an attacking player this season.
Can the boys make it four wins in the row next week against Pontyclun?
