The following statement has been issued by the club committee:
We are delighted to confirm the club will be starting a 2nd senior team for the 2020/21 season. The intention is enter our senior 2nds in the Taff Ely & Rhymney Valley Football League along with our senior first team. We have been given the consent of the league secretary but await final approval at the TERV League AGM at the end of the month.
We are looking for players interested in joining the club with the prospect of representing either senior team. Players of any experience are welcome and further details about training will be released when the FAW confirm it is safe to resume football again. We are also looking for a manager / coach to oversee the senior 2nd team on matchdays, as well as forming part of the senior coaching set-up. No football qualifications or specific experience are essential. Any interest should be registered via the club’s Twitter, Facebook pages or by email enquiries@pontypriddfc.com.
While the club is open to all players, there is a specific need to recruit goalkeepers for the forthcoming season.
