Club News, First Team

The club committee are delighted to announce John Radnor will join the first team coaching set-up for the following season. Radnor joined Pontypridd FC last season as a player and made 4 appearances before his season was curtailed by a knee injury and the club are delighted he will remain at the club in a coaching capacity. As well as his experience playing non-league football in England, Radnor also brings his expertise as a Strength & Conditioning academic at Cardiff Met University.

First team manager Ryan Wheeler said: “I’m really pleased John will joining me on the first team coaching team. We have been looking to bring someone on board and John fits the role perfectly. He has a wealth of experience in sport, brings great pedigree to the club and he knows the club having been with us as a player last season. I am very much looking forward to working with John to try and take the team forward.”

John Radnor told us: “I wanted to stay involved so when Ryan asked me [to join the coaching team] I thought it would be a great opportunity to stay around the team and offer some help to Ryan wherever I could. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back playing as soon as possible but before then I’ll do what I can to help.”
