Following today’s COVID-19 briefing by Welsh Government First Minister Mark Drakeford, there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel for local sport. Today the First Minister confirmed team sports can resume outdoors from Monday 13th July 2020.
The club welcomes this news and now awaits further guidance from both the Welsh Government, the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council on what the possible resumption of football activity will look like.
The FAW are hosting a webinar for clubs on Monday 13th July 2020 that will aim to provide information, guidance and potential timeframes going forward. Once we learn more about this and the local authority are satisfied facilities can be used in a safe way for organised football we will look to begin the process of resuming football activities at the club.
