The club are delighted with the success of the raffle of framed Wales jersey signed by Aaron Ramsey, concluded during the Euro 2020 final last Sunday.
The sale of raffle tickets, alongside donations, means we raised £1400 towards our fundraising to purchase a defibrillator for local community use. This exceeds our target of £1325, enabling us to purchase a defibrillator through the Calon Hearts charity that will be installed at the Maritime Recreation Ground and will be accessible to all users of the facility.
We will also be working in partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC, who have agreed to pay for the electrical installation of the defibrillator.
The club committee is grateful to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, as well as those who made significant donations to the fund including Dean Marenghi, Snowy Insole, Dave Banks and Nigel Wheeler.
The winner of the raffle was Neil Lintern. Congratulations to Neil, who we look forward to presenting the framed jersey at an upcoming home fixture.
