Pontypridd FC missed out on the opportunity to secure TERV Premier status next season with a heavy defeat to fellow strugglers Talbot Green at the Maritime Recreation Field.
Five goals from Talbot’s Simon Payne punished Ponty badley and despite a bit of a second-half fightback, including a first club goal for Bradley Harris and Lewis Taylor’s first goal since his return to the club, they were still a distant second to their hosts that have struggled for results this season.
It means Pontypridd have now lost four games on the spin and their second loss in three matches against fellow relegation battlers. Ponty still need 2 points to guarantee league status next season.
