Pontypridd were beaten heavily by Talbot Green for a second Saturday in a row, their fifth league defeat on the bounce, leaving them looking nervously at the relegation places.
Ponty knew any kind of result would secure their league status but once again they simply did not perform against an opponent that before last Saturday was seven points adrift of them in the table.
Despite their own struggles this season, Talbot Green played with more confidence, made the most of their opportunities and punished Ponty mistakes, making them worthy winners. Apart from one or two occasions, Ponty simply did not do or create enough to trouble a defence that has conceded 72 goals this season.
