10-man Ponty salvage point in league opener

First Team, Match Report

Aled Evans’ late goal salvaged a point for Pontypridd, who played much of the second half with ten men after Mani Owen was sent-off.

The visitors had the best of the chances at Owain Glyndwr Field but fell behind in the second half. 16 year old debutante Owen was sent off in the aftermath following two quick yellow cards for dissent.

Evans’ strike levelled the game but even with ten men Ponty squandered plenty of chances to take all three points.
