Geraint Lewis came off the bench to score his second goal of the season to help Pontypridd to their first league win of the season.
Lewis converted from close range from captain Kieron Cook’s pull-back with 18 minutes left of play and The Black Sheep held on against home pressure in the closing stages at Penybryn Field.
There were several changes to the squad after the drubbing against Ynysybwl three days ago, including a first team debut for Liam Barter, and it was a much-improved performance full of grit and determination.
Both sides had good chances throughout the game. Ponty had to rely on strong defensive performers and good saves from Alex Mitchell-Charman at times but it was the visitors who found the solitary and decisive goal in a hard-fought, close encounter.
