Pontypridd’s poor start to the season continued with defeat away to Talbot Green. This was the Black Sheep’s fourth defeat in six league games this season and third on the spin.
Despite an underwhelming first half display, somehow the visitors went into the interval with their goal unbreached. However, two second-half strikes from Liam Dodd settled the win for the hosts and Ponty rarely looked like threatening to deny Talbot their deserved victory.
Only a solid display from goalkeeper Alex Mitchell-Charman prevented a much heavier defeat.
