Gareth Panes’s injury time goal gave Pontypridd Reserves a dramatic win against ten-man Cwm Welfare Reserves in the first round of the Bernard Martin Cup at Ynysangharad Park.
Goals from Liam Griffiths and Elis Hughes gave Ponty a 2-0 half-time after the visitor’s keeper was sent off. Welfare fought back to 2-2 in the second half before Panes’ first ever goal in senior football in the 95th minute won the tie.
