Ponty reserves fell to a third successive defeat, even though the final score against Caerphilly Athletic reserves didn’t reflect the performance.
Despite a competitive first half, Ponty found themselves 2-0 down at half-time through an opportunistic strike and an own goal. Lewis Roberts halved the deficit in the second half and Piotr Tolak missed a great opportunity to level in the final minutes. That chance went begging and Caerphilly sealed the points with a breakaway goal.
