With the 2023/24 Taff Ely & Rhymney Valley (TERV) Football League senior season set to start on August 19th, the first tranche of fixtures have been released on the FAW Comet Football app.
Pontypridd AFC (first team) will begin their Premier Division campaign with an away fixture against Church Village on Saturday 19th August. Both sides were separated in the league table season only by goal difference, although Church Village (TERV League champions in 2021/22) did win both encounters between our clubs last season, including a last-minute 4-3 win at Upper Boat Playing Fields.
The first team’s opening home fixture will be an Ynysangharad Park derby against Graig FC on Saturday 26th August. Both encounters in the park between the sides last season finished 1-1.
Pontypridd AFC Reserves will have to wait a week to begin their campaign in the new TERV Division Two. They travel to Talbot Park to take on Talbot Green Reserves. The Reserves will play again this season on the Ynysangharad Park cricket field and their first home fixture will be on Saturday 16th September against Llanbradach AFC.
