Despite a late rally, Pontypridd Reserves suffered defeat in their TERV Division Two opening fixture away to Talbot Green Reserves.
It looked like a routine win was on the cards for Talbot Green Reserves as they led 4-1 with 7 minutes left to play. However, late goals from Dai Llewellyn and Dan Outing gave the Black Sheep of salvaging something from the game but it proved one goal too far on the day.
A second-half penalty from Liam Griffiths completed the scoresheet for the Ponty side.
