Pontypridd AFC Youth’s three match unbeaten run came to an end with defeat away to Nye Bevan Division pace setters Cwrt Rawlin.
A makeshift Ponty side travelled to Caerphilly hoping to avenge a 6-2 defeat in the reverse fixture earlier in the season but after a positive start to the game, they trailed 2-0 at half-time.
Charlie Hobby had Ponty’s best chance of the game just after half-time but on an unseasonably warm afternoon in the shadow of Caerphilly Castle, the Black Lambs couldn’t mount a sustained assault of the home side’s defence.
Three more goals in the second half gave Cwrt Rawlin a comfortable win on a bad day at the office for Pontypridd’s youngsters.
