João Leal scored his second hat-trick of the weekend as Pontypridd AFC Youth continued their positive start to the season, making it six points from the first games with a win over Baglan FC Youth in an end to end encounter at Danylan Field.
Leal scored twice in a minute halfway through the first half; a first rebound after his one on one effort was saved, then a penalty a minute later. Baglan struck back on the half hour but Harley Williams’ tap-in and Spencer Banner’s emphatic penalty gave the Black Lambs a commanding half-time lead.
Leal completed his hat-trick shortly after half-time with an acrobatic finish after Charlie Hobby’s long-range strike cannoned off the crossbar. Harley Williams completed the Ponty scoring, either side of well-taken consolations from the visitors.
