The men’s first team’s recent winning run came to an end as they failed to sparkle in an away defeat against Llanbradach.
The fireworks of the four-match winning run looked like it might continue for the Black Sheep when Charlie Hobby opened the scoring early on, but Ponty’s challenge had been all but extinguished by half-time following an explosive hat-trick from Llanbradach’s Max Powell.
Aled Evans did fire home a second Ponty goal in the second-half but Llanbradach added further strikes of their own to secure an emphatic win.
Ponty stay top of the division but this defeat will hopefully serve as a rocket to propel the Black Sheep to a better display next week against Treforest Reserves.
