Aled Evans marked his 100th senior appearance for the club with the winning goal as the first team pulled off another marvellous Maritime comeback win to maintain the momentum of their promotion bid.
Michael Clare had given Ponty a first half-lead, Lewis Roberts levelled in the second-half after Caerphilly scored twice before half-time. It looked like the visitors would inflict the Black Sheep’s first home defeat of the season by doing 3-2 ahead but the introduction of Owen Kingsbury helped change the game.
First, Kingsbury equalised within 3 minutes of his introduction before setting up Evans, who sealed the win with his 5th goal of the season.
