Pontypridd AFC secured a top two finish in Division 1, putting themselves in a strong position for promotion, with a with over fellow contenders Llanbradach AFC. This result also ensured the Black Sheep went the entire home league campaign unbeaten.
Trailing 1-0 at half-time, Ponty surged back in the second half. Captain Liam Ormson levelled just past the hour before Michael Clare’s sixth goal of the campaign put the Black Sheep. Then in a relentless finish, Owen Kingsbury added a third in the final minute before Nathan Williams responded for Llanbradach a minute into added time. Further added time goals from Lewis Roberts and substitute Kingsbury ensured an emphatic win to avenge defeat at Llanbradach earlier in the season, before Nathan Williams scored another consolsation with the final goal of the game.
The first team finish their campaign on Wednesday away to Cwm Welfare Reserves.
