Football returns to Ynysangharad Park tomorrow when Pontypridd AFC host Graig FC for the first football fixture in the park for over a year.
It’s fitting that the first fixture involves the two clubs that currently share the football pitch in Pontypridd’s famous park and the “Ynysanaghard Park derby” always proves to be an entertaining and fiercely competitive contest.
Due to Pontypridd hosting the National Eisteddfod in August 2024, football has been absent from Ynysangharad Park since April 2024 and both clubs shared the Maritime 3G during the 2024/25 season.
Having lost their opening fixtures yesterday, both Pontypridd and Graig will be targeting this game as a chance to get their season up and running and put first points on the board.
Kick off is 6.15pm and entry is free.
