Ed Neeson was the match-winner, coming off the bench to score his first goal for the Black Sheep and secure all three points for Pontypridd AFC Reserves in an entertaining encounter on the Ynysangharad Park cricket pitch.
Callum Rendell (twice) and Michael Clare scored three goals inside four first half minutes to put the reserves into a commanding position against Bargoed Reserves. Howeever, the visitors had a similar surge before half-time, scoring three times in six minutes to make the scores level at half-time.
Youngster Neeson had the final say, his strike the only goal in the second-half and good enough for the win.
