Women pick up first league win on historic Taff Vale Park bow

Match Report, Women's

History was made today with Pontypridd AFC Women playing the first ever competitive female football match on Taff Vale Park.
Ponty played Aberaman LGFC in difficult conditions but despite the conditions Ponty played some lovely football and came out 15-0 winners.
Leah King leading the line with some sublime finishing scored 5 whilst her partner in crime Brook Morgan weighed in with 4 and one of those potentially goal of the season.
The industrious Sophie Norman weighed in with two whilst Kate Phillips who was running the game added another, Captain Kate Ward added another whilst Eloise Royal who seems to improve every game added two more
The score could have been far more but for the outstanding Aberaman keeper Jade Evans who deserves a special mention.
A great win for the women on such an historic day and hopefully the kick start to their season.
