Pontypridd u17s girls got their SWWGL divison two campaign off to a poor start with defeat away to Thornhill.
A slow start saw the team 1-0 down at half-time, then while pushing for an equaliser in the second half Thornhill struck twice in two minutes against the run of play to take a commanding lead. A double from Nia Lloyd brought the game back to 3-2 with ten minutes left to play. While pushing again, a long ball over the top caught out the Black Sheep and the victory was secured for the hosts.
